TikTok Video Not Downloading? Try These Fixes
When a TikTok video does not download, the cause is usually the link, the video's privacy setting, or the connection. Work through the checks below in order.
1. Check the link
- Use the link of the video itself. A profile link or a link to a playlist will not work.
- Copy the whole link. Some apps cut it short when you paste it.
- Make sure there are no extra spaces before or after the link.
2. Check the privacy setting
Private videos and videos limited to followers cannot be downloaded by a third-party site. Ask the creator to make the video public, or save it from your own account if you have access.
3. Check your connection
Switch between Wi-Fi and mobile data, or wait a minute and try again. A slow connection can stop the file before it finishes.
4. Try again later
Very recent videos, and videos that were just published, may take a few minutes before they can be downloaded. TikTok also changes its links from time to time, so a short wait can help.
5. Clear the browser cache
An old page in the cache can block a new download. Reload the page, or open it in a private window.
6. Try another browser
If Chrome does not download the file, try Edge, Firefox or Safari. Some browsers block pop-ups or file downloads from some sites by default. Allow the download if the browser asks.
Still not working?
Go back to the TikBeSave home page, paste the link again, and start the download. If the same video fails every time, it is probably private or has been removed.
